Thankful...

Hi Fourth Grade Families,

I hope you are all looking forward to this holiday break and that you have some fun things planned! I am thankful for each of your children and the opportunity to teach them each day. They have rocked it the past couple weeks and I couldn't be prouder. I was especially impressed when talking with them about their Genius Hour projects last week! Usually kids struggle with finding a project they are truly passionate about for the first project because they've never had the chance to be in charge of their own learning before. However, I was in awe of what your kids came up with and I'm so excited to see them reach for the stars! I will keep you posted as we get close to presentation time, so that you can join us if you'd like!

What are you thankful for? Comment below!

Thank you for your continued support as we move throughout the school year and as always, thank you for your kids! Have a great break and we'll see you back here next week!

  1. Thank you, Ashley. I would love to see Anya's presentation of her Genius Hour project. She is very excited. Initially she planned to create something much more complex than reasonably possible so we talked about it and came up with something more doable. On a personal note: I am thankful every day for my family, friends and all the blessings I've enjoyed all my life. Life is an amazing gift that should be treasured every second of the day. Sometimes I get busy with mundane things and forget how precious life is. But as I get older I feel much more appreciation for everything I have.

    1. I agree with you, Elena! Life is so precious. I lost my best friend to cancer last March and it has caused me to stop and appreciate my 'moments'. Thank you for sharing!

  2. Ashley, we are so thankful Noah has such an amazing teacher. I know how much work goes into what you do and you go above and beyond. I am thankful for Noah's growth this year, academically, socially and emotionally as a result of your hard work, patience and encouragement. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family.
